lakes and the nearby flowages, there are many fishing opportunities
in this area, from pan fish and trout to trophy muskies. Bait
shops, boat rentals, marine dealers and guide service are available
locally.

the forest on a historic Steam Train. Fall Color rides are especially
nice. Located about 45 minutes NW, just west of Laona on Hwy
8.

and Logging Museums in Marinette and Wabeno.

Nicolet National Forest borders the western edge of Marinette
County, offering unique recreational opportunities to the outdoor

Governor Thompson State Park encompasses the southern shore of
Caldron Falls Flowage, and the Peshtigo River State Forest covers
about 9,000 acres around Caldron and High Falls Flowage.
